Four things to check before you give up

The basket, not the code
Most failures are a minimum spend or an excluded category, not a dead code. The exclusions are listed under each offer on our pages.

One code per order
Almost no merchant stacks. If a sale price is already applied, the code will usually be refused rather than combined with it.

Case and spaces
Copy rather than retype. A trailing space pasted into the promo box is the single most common reason a working code appears not to work.

Tell us it failed
The yes/no buttons under every offer feed straight into what we retest first. A no is more useful to us than a yes.

Who writes this?
A named editorial team. Help! I Need a Coupon Help! has been publishing discount codes since 2024, every merchant page carries a byline, and corrections are logged rather than quietly edited.
How do you make money?
Affiliate commission, disclosed on every page carrying a commercial link. It buys us the time to test. It does not buy a merchant a better write-up, and it cannot turn a failing code into a working one.
Does commission change what you publish?
It changes which merchants we can afford to retest most often, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. It does not change whether a code is reported as working.
Why leave dead codes up?
Because what a merchant used to offer tells you what to expect next, and because a page that only ever shows wins is not a page you can check our work against.

Is there a catch? Do I need an account?
No account, no fee, no extension to install. Merchants pay us a commission when a purchase follows a click from here, and that is the whole business model. What you pay at the checkout is the same either way.
What is the date next to a code telling me?
It is the day one of us last pasted that code into that merchant's checkout and watched the total drop. It is not the day we edited the page. Where a code has never been through a checkout we label it as reviewed rather than tested, because those are different claims.
Why are dead codes still on the page?
So you can see what we took down and when. Roughly 0 retired offers sit on this site. They also tell you the shape of a merchant's usual discount, which is what you need in order to judge whether today's offer is worth taking or worth waiting out.
The code was refused. What do I do?
Hit No on the "Worked?" control under that offer. It goes straight into the recheck queue, and enough failure reports retire a code on their own. Before that, check the exclusions listed under the offer, because a minimum spend or an excluded category is a more common cause than a dead code.
Can I send you a code that worked?
Yes, and they are some of the best ones we get. Anything sent in goes through the same checkout test as everything else before it appears, so do not be surprised if it takes a few days or never shows up at all.
Do the merchants get to see this first?
No. Merchants have no sight of a page before it goes up and no ability to change what it says afterwards. If we get something wrong, the fix is logged on the corrections page rather than edited away quietly.
